Tuesday 14th April – 12th meeting of 2015
We were back in business today after our Easter Break but with nothing planned we had a breakfast meeting in The Greyhound pub at Bromley. This is very central for us all and so is a good place to meet to sort out our plans.
All nine of us arrived more or less at the same time and after a catch-up chat ordered our breakfasts with teas and coffees. Most of us went for the full English which was served very quickly. After eating and drinking we got down to business.
We seemed to have lots of ideas between us so planning up until the end of July and our Summer break was not difficult. Many of us will be on holiday during this time and in fact we have already booked a break away together with the husbands – so a very enjoyable time ahead.
Among the weeks ahead we have planned: British Museum and viewing the Magna Carta, Olympic Park and up to the top of the Orbit, Ranger’s House Greenwich, an organised walk along Victoria Embankment and some walks from the London Walk book. That is just a taste of what we have to look forward to.
I think this was the quickest we have ever planned our time and that maybe because we had so many ideas. So we have things already to plan for in September!
With diaries written up, albeit a few crossings out, we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways. I, for one, went shopping not missing an opportunity to make the most of Bromley!
