Tuesday 5th January – first meeting of 2016
Our first meeting of 2016 was at The Greyhound Pub in Bromley. A good meeting place for us all as it is more or less in the middle of our homes. Seven met, as one of our ladies was visiting her daughter and another one was not well with the cold virus that seems to have hit a lot of people over the festive season.
A quick chat about our activities over the Christmas and New Year and then we ordered. We all had the traditional breakfast with a tea or coffee. This is such good value, bacon, sausage, egg, beans, tomato, slice of toast and butter all for £3.09! Nobody could refuse that!
After this we got our notes and info out and set about planning our Tuesdays until Easter. This was quite straight forward this time with only one change, meaning just one crossing out in the diary!
We have planned about three walks, wildlife photographic exhibition which we now visit every year, three exhibitions, a visit to Victoria and Albert Museum and more. More indoor events as it is the winter period. Looks to be a very interesting few weeks.
We left The Greyhound pleased with our morning. Being in Bromley most of us used the opportunity to do a little bit of shopping!
